  • 1990

    March 23, 1990-  Original construction permit for KUHG 98.1 FM, Hastings, NE is granted.

  • 1992

    May 21, 1992-  Records show that the construction permit is licensed to Community Broadcasting, Independence, MO.

  • 1993

    October 26, 1993-  Construction permit is modified to move city of license from Hastings, NE to Milford, NE.

  • 1996

    March, 1996- Warner Enterprises (Norton E. Warner, Sr, President) enters into an option to purchase KFGE (formerly KUHG) for $1.3 million from  Bott Broadcasting Company (Community Broadcasting), Overland Park, KS (Richard P. Bott, President).

    July 15, 1996-  KFGE “Froggy 98” signs on with 100,000 watts at 981 feet.  Studios/Offices:  co-located with Warner’s  KLIN AM and KKUL FM at the Broadcast House, 4343 O Street in Lincoln.  Transmitter: approximately 3 miles north of I-80 and 4 miles east-southeast of Utica, NE  (east of 406th Street between Fletcher Road and Superior Rd.

    KFGE initially is in a local marketing arrangement between the licensee (Bott) and LMA partner, Warner.

  • 1997

    October, 1997- The Local Marketing Agreement between Bott and Warner ends with the sale of KFGE to Warner Enterprises (Norton Warner Sr.) for $800,000.  Seller:  Bott Broadcasting Company (Richard P. Bott, President)  KFGE General Manager is Lisa Warner.   Patrick Combs is General Manager starting in 1998.

  • 2000

    March 31, 2000-  Warner Enterprises sells KLIN AM, KKUL FM, KEZG FM, all Lincoln, KFGE Milford and KWBE Beatrice to Triad Broadcasting Company, Monterey, CA. (David Benjamin, President) for $12 million.  Greg Wells becomes General Manager.   Mark Halverson replaces Wells in 2001 and remains as General Manager until the sale of the stations to NRG Media in 2007.

  • 2007

    September 4, 2007- Triad Broadcasting Company sells the cluster of stations (KLIN, KFGE,KLNC, KBBK, KWBE) to NRG Media (Mary Quass, President) for $17,500.  Andy Ruback is named General Manager.
