  • 1968

    April 10, 1968-  Construction Permit is granted for KLIN FM.

    September 1, 1968-  KLIN FM signs on with 100,000 watts at 165 feet.  Owner:  Shurtleff-Schorr Broadcasting Corporation (Jack C. Callaway).

    December 10, 1968-  KLIN FM is licensed by the FCC.

  • 1971

    September, 1971-  KLIN 107.3 FM is sold from Shurtleff-Schorr to KLIN FM (Norton & Diana Warner) for $800,000 including KLIN 1400 AM.

  • 1976

    Studios/Offices move to 4343 O Street in Lincoln known as “The Broadcast House.”

  • 1980

    Format flip from MOR to Beautiful Music.

  • 1983

    Broadcast tower is upgraded to 600 feet, located at 7800 Yankee Hill Road (.5 miles west of 84th and Yankee Hill Road) in Lincoln.

  • 1988

    December 18, 1988-  Call letters are changed to KEZG FM.  Format adjusts to Easy Listening.

  • 1991

    Format change from Easy Listening to Adult Contemporary

  • 2000

    March 31, 2000-  Warner Enterprises (Norton Warner) sells KEZG FM, along with KLIN AM, KFGE FM, KKUL FM and KWBE AM, Beatrice, NE to Triad Broadcasting Company, Monterey, CA (David Benjamin, President) for $12 million.  Mark Halverson, General Manager.

    August 28, 2000- Call letters are changed to KBBK FM

  • 2007

    September 4, 2007-  Triad Broadcasting Company sells KBBK FM, KFGE FM, KLIN AM, KLNC FM and KWBE AM to NRG Media (Mary Quass, President) for $17.5 million.

    KBBK is branded as B-107.3 and format shifts to Hot Adult Contemporary

  • 2012

    February 6, 2013-  KBBK (HD2) signs on an FM translator  K233AN at 94.5 and 250 watts at 174 feet, branded as “Red 94.5” with a Top 40 format.  Antenna located at 15th & M Street in Lincoln.
