    KSFT signs on with 1,550 watts at 125 feet.  Cy Chesterman, President.   Studios/offices:  1113 Nebraska Street, Sioux City, IA.  Transmitter: five miles north-northwest of South Sioux City, Nebraska, near Berry Street and Military Road.  Format:  Soft Rock as “Soft 107.”

  • 2000

    December, 2000- Clear Channel Communications purchases KSFT as part of a package that includes KMNS 620 AM, KWSL 1470 AM, KGLI 95.5 FM and KSEZ 97.9 FM, all Sioux City for $12 million.   Licensee: Cleveland Radio Licenses, subsidiary of Clear Channel.  License later shifted to Clear Channel’s AMFM Radio licenses.

  • 2002

    Signal upgrade to 2,300 watts at 164 feet from a new tower site, 4205 Talbot Road, Sioux City, Iowa, about five miles north of South Sioux City.

  • 2006

    Flips format from Light Adult Contemporary to Contemporary Hits as “Kiss 107.”

  • 2007

    May, 2007-GoodRadio.TV, LLC’s $452.1 million purchase of Clear Channel stations in 36 markets is filed.  This includes the Sioux City group.  The deal fails to close due to financing problems.

  • 2020

    Voluntary assignment of license from AMFM Radio licenses to HIM Licenses, subsidiaries of Clear Channel.
