  • 1983

    August 4, 1983-  KOOC FM signs on, 100,000 watts at 360 feet.  Transmitter is located 7 miles south of Cozad, adjacent to East Midway Lake on Road 418.

    Studios/offices located at 821 Avenue J, Cozad, NE.   Country format until 1988 when it duplicates KAMI AM.

  • 1985

    July, 1985- KOOC is sold to VectoRadio (Charles Larsen, President) for $560,000, including KAMI AM.    Format- Adult Contemporary.

  • 1987

    Station goes to satellite-delivered programming from Transtar Country.

  • 1988

    Call letters change from KOOC to KCVN FM.  Format- Contemporary Country, which is simulcast on KAMI AM.

  • 1995

    KCVN programming separates from KAMI simulcast, for Country.

  • 2004

    January, 2004-  Station is silenced for financial reasons, while seeking a buyer.

    July, 2004-  KCVN is sold to Community Broadcasting, Inc. (Group Owner- Bott Broadcasting) for $365,000, which includes c0-owned KAMI AM.

    Granted a waiver allowing operation from outside the station’s coverage with operations from 100 North 56th Street, Lincoln, NE.  Programming-religious from the Bott Radio Network.  Tom Millett, Nebraska Regional Manager.

  • 2006

    Operations address moved to 213 South 13th Street in Lincoln, NE.
