Through the Years

  • 1983

KLNV FM started as a Class A, and simulcast the AM programming until 2001.

  • 2000

Station upgraded to a Class C3, but only broadcasting 9,000 watts at less than full height.

  • 2005

The station was upgraded again to a C2, on what was then the existing 1965 tower, but still only about half the height limit.  After the land lease on the old tower was not renewed because the landowner did not like the coverage of the Valley County Hospital controversy, Sandhills Advertising then purchased the land across the road from the original tower and built a 495-foot tower to go to a full C2 facility.

  • 2015

MWB II erected a 850-foot tower north of Burwell, Nebraska to upgrade to a Class C1, 100KW facility.
