• 1967

  August 11, 1967-KROA signs on at 103.1 FM, Aurora, NE with 3,000 watts at 270 feet.  Studios and offices at 1111 K Street in Aurora.  Owner:  Capitol Broadcasting Inc, James E Kamas, President

• 1971

  January, 1971-  Ownership change from Capitol Broadcasting Inc (James E. Kamas, President, et al) to Midwest Broadcasting, Inc (Herbert P Roszhart Jr., President 25.6%, Maurice A. Kremer, Vice-President 25.6%, and Donald J. Larson 12.2% for $39,200.  Mr. Roszhart is the manager of KROA-FM, and Mr. Kremer is a Nebraska State Senator.  Herb Roszhart Jr., is President, General Manager , News Director and Chief Engineer.

• 1972

  April, 1972- ABC FM Network is added.  Format:  Beautiful Music.

• 1974

  August 6, 1974-  KROA is granted its request for waiver of rules to identify as: Grand Island-Aurora, Nebraska.

• 1975

  Frequency change, community of license change, and upgrade:  Moves from 103.1 MHz to 95.7 MHz with 100,000 watts at 460 feet.  New community of license:  Grand Island, NE.  New transmitter location is one mile north of Doniphan, Nebraska, at the intersection of West Cedarview Road and 59 Bridge Road.    Special programming is added:  Farm 2 hours, classical music 4 hours weekly.

• 1977

  March, 1977- Ownership change from Midwest Broadcasting Inc. (estate and family of Herbert P. Roszhart Sr.) to Grace College of the Bible (nonstock religious corporation which also owns KGBI FM, Omaha for $275,000.   Rev. Dan Dalke is president of Grace College, with 15 other members who are clerical, business and professional people living mainly in the Midwest.   Format:  Religious.   Dr. Robert Benton is President; Herb Roszhart remains as General Manager.

• 1991

  Moody network is added.

• 2003

  November, 2003-  Grace University sells to Mission Nebraska, Inc, a nonprofit entity for $1.5 million.  The new owners are already operating the station under a Local Marketing Agreement.

• 2006

  Mission Nebraska, owner of non-profit KROA FM, 95.7 (Grand Island), purchases KMMJ 750 AM from Legacy Communications and will begin programming the station on March 15, 2006.  Mission Nebraska says KMMJ will carry “top quality Biblical teaching and family-oriented instruction,” while 95.7 “The Bridge” will continue to carry Christian music and short features.

• 2008

  Mission Nebraska transfers KMMJ to The Praise Network for the assumption of debt.

• 2013

  Transfer of control from Mission Nebraska to My Bridge Radio, reflecting the name change only.  This includes KPNY Alliance, KHZY Overton, KMBV Valentine, KRKR Waverly, KQIQ Beatrice, and KSSH Shubert.  KROA is the flagship station of the “My Bridge Radio” network of Christian radio stations in Nebraska.

  Present day:  KROA FM also broadcasts its primary channel from these 3 transmitters.
