    September 10, 2001-  KBLR 97.3 FM signs on with studios located at 757 Washington St, Blair, NE and Transmitter 2.5 miles south of Herman, NE.  25,000 watts at 300 feet.

  • 2001

    Sold to Waitt Radio, Inc. as part of the Mitchell group for $36.6 million sale.  Studios move to 50th & Capitol Streets in Omaha.

  • 2003

    Format flips to Urban Contemporary.  General Manager is Michael Payne.  Translator improves Omaha coverage upon it’s purchase by outside interests (Baer Communications) K299AK 107.7.  75 watts on the old WOWT Tower at 35th and Farnam in Omaha.  Silenced in 2007.

  • 2006

    Format flips to Country as Country 97.3 KBLR.   Offices are moved to Fremont joining co-owned KHUB 1340 AM and KFMT 105.5 FM, and managed out of Fremont.  Programming is supplied by NRG Radio Networks at 90th & Western in Omaha. (Ken Fearnow, Manager).

  • 2012

    September, 2012-KBLR is sold to Community First Broadcasting (Richard Chapin/Dean Sorenson) for $900,000 including Fremont’s KHUB and KFMT.  The deal contains restrictions for any of the stations from competing in Omaha or moving into the Omaha market.

  • 2013

    July, 2013- Station is sold to R&R Broadcasting, Inc. (Rick Siebert) for $1.15 million, including KFMT 105.5 and KHUB 1340.

  • 2014

    March, 2014-Sold to Walnut Radio (Steve Seline) for $1.25 million including KFMT and KHUB

  • 2018

    December, 2018-Call letters are changed to KOBM FM, beginning a simulcast of Boomer Radio from Oldies-formatted KOMJ 1490.
